TRIBAL ELECTIONS
2025 LITTLE SHELL TRIBAL SPECIAL ELECTIONS
The Little Shell Tribal Special Election Committee announces Saturday, March 22, 2025, as the Little Shell Tribal Special Election Day. Voting will take place for one vacant At-Large Tribal Councilmember position. We encourage all eligible and enrolled Little Shell Tribal members to consider running for office and vote.
Little Shell tribal members interested in applying for candidacy are encouraged to read the Little Shell Tribal Election Code (as amended on August 3, 2023) and all 2025 Little Shell Tribal Election Materials. Prospective candidates are responsible for submitting all required material no later than February 14, 2025 at 11:59pm MT.

Publication of Approved Candidate List – Election Committee will publish the list as soon as all candidates have had their background checks completed. Candidates may start to campaign on the date of publication.

Last Day Voters may Request an Absentee Ballot – closes at 5:00 PM MT

Election Day – In-Person Polls will be open from 10:00am to 5:00pm MT at LST Elders Center, 1529 Stuckey Rd, Great Falls, MT 59404. Absentee Ballots must be received by 5pm MT.
ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST FORM
Eligible Little Shell Voters, age 18 years or older, that cannot vote in the 2024 LST Elections in-person may request an absentee ballot. Eligible Voters must complete an Online Absentee Ballot Request Form (preferred) or submit a PDF Absentee Ballot Request Form. The Election Committee will verify each request form and will send an official ballot to the Eligible Voter once the Candidate List is published.
The deadline to request an Absentee Ballot is Monday, March 17, 2025.
