The Little Shell Tribal Election Committee is pleased to announce that it will host the 2026 Regular Election on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Voting will take place for three (3) At-Large Tribal Councilmember positions. Polls will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm MT at the Ceremonial Center, 1315 Stuckey Road, Great Falls, MT 59404.
Eligible voters are enrolled Little Shell citizens who will be at least 18 years old on Election Day and whose citizenship is not suspended.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to read the Little Shell Election Code, as amended April 2, 2026, and all 2026 Little Shell Tribal Election materials. Candidate applications and all required supporting materials and fees must be received by Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. MT. A prospective candidate notified that an application is deficient must remedy the deficiency by Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. MT.
The Approved Candidate List will be published no later than Saturday, October 17, 2026, and may be published earlier if all application reviews and background checks are complete. Only candidates included on the Approved Candidate List may begin campaigning, and campaigning may begin on the date the list is published.

Any eligible Little Shell voter may request an absentee ballot. An eligible voter is an enrolled Little Shell citizen who will be at least 18 years old on Election Day and whose citizenship is not suspended.
To request an absentee ballot, complete the Online Absentee Ballot Request Form or submit the PDF Absentee Ballot Request Form. Voters with limited internet access may request that a form be mailed to them by calling 406-315-2400.
Absentee ballot requests must be received by the Election Committee no later than Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. MT. Once ballots are available, they may be delivered and returned by mail, fax, or email as provided in the official instructions.
Completed absentee ballots must be received by the Election Committee no later than 5:00 p.m. MT on Election Day, Saturday, November 14, 2026, to be counted. Voters should allow adequate delivery time.
