ELECTIONS

The Little Shell Tribal Election Committee announces Saturday, November 9, 2024, as the Little Shell Tribal Election Day. Voting in-person will take place on Nov. 9, 2024 from 10am MT to 5pm MT at the Little Shell Tribal Program Building at 615 Central Ave. West, Great Falls, MT 59404. Eligible voters wishing to vote via an absentee ballot may fill out the Absentee Request Form starting August 24, 2024.

 

The Election Committee encourages all eligible and enrolled Little Shell Tribal members to consider running for office and to vote. Voting will take place for all Tribal Council positions including Chair, First Vice Chair, Second Vice Chair, Secretary-Treasurer, and three At-Large Tribal Councilmember positions.

 

We are currently accepting applications for candidacy and encourage those interested to read the Little Shell Tribal Election Code (as amended on August 3, 2023) and all 2024 Little Shell Tribal Election Materials. Prospective candidates are responsible for submitting all required material no later than September 10, 2024 at 5:00pm MT.

ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST FORM

Eligible Little Shell Voters, age 18 years or older, that cannot vote in-person for the 2024 LST Elections may request an absentee ballot. Eligible Voters must complete an Online Absentee Ballot Request Form (preferred) or submit a PDF Absentee Ballot Request Form. The Election Committee will verify each request form and then will send an official ballot to the Eligible Voter once the Candidate List is published.

 

The deadline to request an Absentee Ballot is Monday, November 4, 2024.
